A.K. Lee writes fantasy with queer characters. She lives in Singapore with her husband and their three cats, all rescues (the cats). When she is not writing, she is either drinking tea or trying to protect her houseplants from the felines. Her first essay ever published was for a school magazine and she argued against the stereotype of the Big Bad Wolf in fairy tales; she followed that up with a tongue-in-cheek comic about Chinese lunar legends. Her favorite author is Terry Pratchett. She wants to be Granny Weatherwax when she grows older, but is aware that she's probably more of a Magrat.
